Workshop card #2

Last night we had a nice little workshop here at my house, 6 people and myself, and we have a lovely time. We did two make-and-takes, one was shown in an earlier post with the four flowers from Sweet Stems, and this is the second. I love this card. It was a nice, easy one to make, but it did show the girls some techniques that some of them hadn't seen before. Since a lot of the girls last night were fairly new (or totally new) to paper crafting, I wanted some that weren't too advanced. This card features a Designer paper from the Candy Cane Lane series, and the cardstock is Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip (mmmm.....candycane, vanilla and chocolate...sounds like a yummy Christmasy milkshake or something! hehe) The flowers are adorable, from the Simply Said set, and the butterfly and the trail of words are from Flight of the Butterly. I think last night I was referring to the sentiment as the tail....hehe....I do know that butterflies don't have tails, btw. Don't ask me what I was thinking! lol

Anyways, the flowers are stamped in Chocolate Chip and the sentiment in Close to Cocoa, while the butterfly is in Riding Hood Red. We used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the sentiment, and that was something new that some of the girls hadn't tried before. We also embossed a few random flowers with versamarker and clear EP. I like it...nice...simple...fun, and sharp looking. Hope you enjoy. Now I gotta get down to business again and try to plan something good for my stamp club! :)Happy Scrappin'...hope to post more later!
